Tony McEntee will continue as Sligo manager in 2025 after agreeing a new two-year term with the county.

In his four years to date, McEntee, who guided Crossmaglen to two All-Ireland titles as a manager, has overseen a progressive spell for the county as they maintained division three status this year before letting eventual All-Ireland finalists wriggle off the hook in the Connacht championship.

Later in the summer they lost out to Down in the Tailteann Cup semi-final after extra time. The Mourne men would go on to win the competition.

Paul Henry will continue as county U20 football manager for a third season after delivering a Connacht title and an All-Ireland final appearance in 2023 while Stephen Shiel will remain in charge of the county’s hurlers. Barry Keenan remains in charge of the county’s U20 hurlers. All four managers will make changes to their management teams ahead of the new season.
